I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't find out about the debate at the Marina until after it happened.  So, just in case not all of you caught this in last week's Whitby This Week, I thought I'd post this:

DURHAM -- See where your local candidates stand on issues affecting the Province at several forums being held this month and next around the region.

The Durham Federation of Agriculture has invited candidates from across Durham to appear at a debate being held Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Scugog Community Centre, 181 Perry St. in Port Perry at 7:30 p.m.

The Strong Communities Coalition holds a forum for Whitby-Oshawa candidates Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. at Whitby Mental Health Centre, 700 Gordon St.

Students at Sinclair Secondary School, 380 Taunton Rd. E in Whitby will pose questions to Whitby-Oshawa candidates at a debate being held in the school's library Friday, Sept. 28, at 9:30 a.m.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Oshawa Seniors Centres hosts Whitby-Oshawa candidates at a debate taking place Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Northview Community Centre, 150 Beatrice Street E. in Oshawa.

Whitby-Oshawa candidates are also scheduled to appear at a debate being held by the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Thursday, Sept. 27, at noon at the Oshawa Shriners' Club, 1626 Simcoe St. N.

The forum at the Mental Health Centre sounds like a great opportunity for Whitby Shores residents to meet the candidates and discuss issues and platforms.
