We had a not the greatest experience tonight at the new Panzerotto Pizza in the plaza. I realise that they just opened, and obviously things may not be running smoothly yet, but just thought I'd share our experience there tonight.

We ordered 2 pizzas online at about 5:40 for pickup at the store. We went to the store at about 6:05. The pizzas were not ready yet (understandable, although this did seem like a bit of a long time). We waited about 10 minutes at which point we saw the guy behind the counter give 2 pizzas to another gentleman waiting. Shortly after the man left, he realised that he had given this man our pizzas instead of his. He went running after him in the parking lot to no avail (the man had already driven away).

The employee apologized and said it would just be a few more minutes (we assumed they were making us 2 new pizzas). We waited about another 15 minutes... then the man who had been given the wrong order came back to return the wrong pizzas in exchange for his own order. At which point I was shocked when the employee then took the pizzas from this guy and tried to give them to us (they had not even started making new pizzas)! He acted surprised when I did not want to take them and wanted new ones! Not that I'm paranoid, but who knows what this guy could have done with the pizzas (I'm sure nothing, but that's not the point). Not to mention they had been out of the oven 15+ minutes now.

So they then started to actually make us fresh pizzas (as I thought they had done 15 minutes ago when they gave our order to the man). It then took about 20 minutes more for them to make our pizzas.

Not to mention, the staff were constantly yelling at each other extremely loudly (you could hear it clearly in the seating area!). It was pretty awkward.

Overall not a good experience. I could get past everything that happened except them trying to give us pizzas that someone else had taken home with him... that's just plain ridiculous.

I think we'll stick to Pizza Pizza and Panago.
I saw the whole dibacle, couldn't believe it. He thinks this is a third world country we live in....what a disaster! I wouldn't have taken the pizzas either.
That sounds pretty brutal. I can appreciate there is a learning curve for any new business unless the proprietor is a transplant from another store. I have taken my family to the Subway a couple of times now and haven't received quite what I ordered but close enough. The second time the owner went to great lengths to make things right which is the correct thing to do. Sounds like the pizza guys should go next door and speak to the Subway lady! Give them 6 months and if things are still bad (service/product) they won't be around long...

Hi

we had friends over the other night and ordered as a walk in order. we had no problem with the quickness of the service however the pizza's were really not that great.....I can totally see your point about them trying to give you the other pizzas...thats gross!

Hi

FYI-I went and got wings from this place the other night (inside this pizza place). They came recommended by the hair salon next door. Well they had obviously been sitting there for a while but they weren't even reheated, I got home, 2 minute drive and the wings were terrible. They were stone cold, fatty, and I got six wings for about $7.00. A bit of a rip off. I don't mind paying if they are good, but they weren't. I heard the pizza sucks as well.

Probably won't be there long.
I found their ordering system a little weird, but the pizza was actually quite good. Way better than Pizza Hut! FYI ... The XL was actually cheaper than a large at 14.99 + tax.

Franchises get bought and sold so fast your head would spin. It's too bad that this new owner is such a poor communicator and doesn't have a clue about customer service. Here's a suggestion email the head office and tell them about your experience. If they are aware of the poor service, they can do something fast before they loose more customers. BTW I probably won't go based on your experience and probably others won't try it either.

Let them know how poor this franchisee is. Its up to the Area Supervisor to assist these new guys who are starting out. Let them know and maybe this place will improve before they loose their shirts. I hate to see Vacancy signs because of lack of training. It can really make or break a business, and if they can turn it around fast they can make amends and hopefully not loose this franchise.
Just a suggestion which I hope helps the entire situation cause I like the idea of new businesses succeeding and becoming a part of the neighbourhood.

I actually called the central phone number and complained about it. They were indifferent and seemed like they couldn't care less. They basically blamed it on the fact that the place had just opened. Their opinion seemed to be that we had got new pizzas (after having to ask for it!), so what was the problem? Maybe the fact that it took over an hour to get 2 small pizzas!

try going into one of their T.O stores or better yet their Scarb. stores and you will see why they didn't seem to care about your complaint....

Sorry about that - I'm the other guy.

My wife had called in an order for (2) large panz's for pick up. When I got there I told the girl working cash I had a pick up order. They weren't ready yet so I waited, funny thing is the guy who did hand me my order had asked me about a min or 2 before what my order was. I thought when he handed me the order that each box had (1) panz in it due to the large size. Not thinking to check I paid and left, it was only when I got home my wife told me to head back as the store had called about the mix up.

Our order when I finally did get home was pretty good, they had put a few wings in (I guess as samples???) and they were pretty good also. I will go back but you're right they did seem to be running around alot that night. I hope they can smooth the operation out, it's nice to have someplace close for a change.
Don't know about the empty units but I would like to see a dry cleaner and liquor/beer store go in there.

As for wings, I couldn't believe how good they were at Shoeless Joe's in the Centrum plaza! Truly amazing...

It's too bad the Panz / Wing combo place is not getting a good review.... it's nice to finally get some close by food places, but not great if we can't enjoy them!  Haven't been ourselves but I am sure we will give it a fair shot at some point, although we are a big fan of the Kilt's wings and haven't found a place yet that compares!  I still think a Dairy Queen would do awesome in that plaza!  Who can resist a DQ treat - not to mention the summer traffic that place gets with the Soccer Fields... anyone know what is going in those few empty units yet?

I was told by one of the ladies at the new First Choice Hair Cutters that they have been told the new A&P should open by January 31st. I can't wait!
