As winter returns, my thoughts quickly turn to summer!!

I'm looking for a cottage to rent for a couple of weeks this summer.

I don't have any specific requirements, other than lakeside with decent swimming potential.

Does anybody have any contacts that they might want to share for cottage rentals (and conversely, any nightmare experiences that should be avoided at all costs)?

I'd also be grateful for recommendations on areas to consider when I start my search -- I don't know cottage country well, and don't know great/good areas from the rest.
Check out this site. We've rented through them for 5 years with nothing but good experiences. And we will be booking something for this summer as soon as the cottage we want is available!

My kids love the cottage atmosphere but was thinking of doing a "resort" type cottage experience.....anyone been to one of these they can recommend thats reasonable priced? I am noticing that its cheaper to fly to florida for a week then stay in a resort in ontario....thats really sad ....
I prefer the whole cottage experience but have been to Cedargrove, Deerhurst and Viamede which are great but expensive. I talked to a friend who recommended Royal Resort as a cheaper alternative. Check it out...
