As we are preparing for Super Bowl we ventured into the abiss that is our basement (AKA a Toys R Us holding area it seems) and starting going through the toys strewn about. In confusion I saw 15..yes 15....dead wasps in the back part of our basement. It kind of bothered me but I thought maybe they came in in the fall in one of the kids outdoor tents or something but I know I didn't see them there last month....

Then on Sunday I went back down to finish the job and there was one, barely alive, crawling across the floor! We have looked in every area around the ceiling and walls and can not see a nest anywhere! The only thing it could be is underneath the insulation.

We don't really want to start ripping all of it down....any suggestions?

Global warming. Soon we will have the AC on at Christmas.

I had the same thing last winter. I first noticed, when one flew by me, then I found a few dead ones. I figured they came in with the patio furniture. I didn't bring the funiture in this year, and I haven't seen any wasps.
