I don't understand it.
A mom, who drowns her autistic daughter, gets life for second degree murder,,,,,,,but a punk only gets 6 years for running over another punk, who is selling drugs, and he gets a year off the sentence for time served.
This system needs an overhaul.
Just venting on this Sunday morning,,,,I think this winter is too long, or my vitamin D is low.

I think it all comes down to circumstances. The autistic daughter was helpless (or we assume she was helpless) and the punk selling drugs most likely had a list of priors. Doesn't justify it but helps rationalize it a bit...
