Your membership on the Whitby Shores Community forum indicates that you have read and accepted our guidelines. Please take a second to review the guidelines below. We are aware that some members may not agree with the verdict or outcomes of certain situations; but, on behalf of the board, we are committed to resolving issues objectively and in the best interest of the Whitby Shores community

Please have a general level of respect for other members and admin/mod team. Spirited discussion, different opinions, and the expression of such in a tactful way are part of any interesting forum, and are welcome. Name calling, insults, or similar will warrant action. We're all adults here, govern yourself accordingly, please.

Advertising/Marketing
As a Whitby Shores member, you agree to not spam or solicit our members. The forum is not the place to advertise or market your business. If someone requests information, you are welcome to post basic info about your business as part of your response, but any continued posting which becomes advertising/marketing will be deleted. You are welcome to include your business URL in your signature, post a free ad in our classifieds, or purchase site advertising.

Posting onsite or by other avenue related to any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, racist, threatening, sexually-oriented (except on private forum) or any other material that may violate any applicable laws will lead to immediate and permanent banning. Your service provider with also be informed of any violations.

While the administrators and moderators of this website will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore, you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user of the board, you consent to the storage of any documented content. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to compromised data.

Violations of these guidelines will be handles as follows:

1. An initial warning will be given to any member who blatantly disregards any of the above guidelines.
2. Spammers will be banned immediately. We will "shoot first, and ask questions later" in this regard.
3. Situations where a warning has been issued but problematic behaviours continue will be handled with any of the following actions: A polite second warning for the user in question, a suspension of varying length, and in extreme cases an account ban.
