I really need advise about this so I hope someone out there has dealt with a similar situation.

Now that the nice weather has come, people in the neighbourhood are letting their cats out to roam free. This is creating a small problem for our family. Someone's cat on our street (and I am pretty sure I know who this little guy belongs to) is causing damage to our property as well as leaving us 'gifts'. So far this is what we have had happen since the nice weather arrived.

1. Several cat dropping in my garden causing some of my perennials to die due to the toxicity of the cat poop.

2. Our front porch has been marked (urinated on) several times because we washed it all up a few weeks ago and now there are new marks.

3. Our screen door is damaged because this lovely kitty decided to climb it the other day trying to get at or interact with our cats.

Now I believe this cat's name is Moogy. He is white and tabby stripped. If you own him, please pm me. If not, any advise as to how I should approach this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Get the screen repaired and show up at their door with the bill...this is the only way to get through to these irresponsible pet owners.

One way I found to keep critters away from my perennials is to put squares (About 3-4 inches across) of cut-up fabric softener sheets (Bounce & the like) lightly buried under the mulch/dirt. The strong smell keeps rabbits away from my bulbs, and I haven't noticed cats digging there either. They need to be replaced after particularly heavy rains, but that may be only every month or so.

Good luck for the door damage, though. I'm sorry to say I have no idea to help on that.

If memory serves me correctly i believe you were on here awhile ago complaining about the cats before. Have you every gone to the owners and told them to smarten up? Just curious....because it doesnt seem to be helping the situation talking about it on here as it isnt resolved.

I have actually seen the cat now, doing all the things listed above. I know the cat lives on my street, just not sure about which house... I was hoping the owner was a reader here and would pm me.
