I'm revamping this post because I didn't get the details right. The ARC process doesn't involve our new Whitby Shores school, but it may affect Whitby Shores residents who might have their kids going to one of the following six Central Whitby Schools : Pringle Creek FM Heard, Leslie MacFarlane, Captain Michael VandenBos, Palmerston and Jack Minor.
You can find some information on the process here:

I didn't realize the ARC Process was the same for new schools - DDSB is going to have a busy year!
The ARC process for the closure of FM Heard, Palmerston, and Leslie McFarlane involves 18 meetings - The working meetings start June 25th (14 meetings in total) and the public can attend and observe. There are four public meetings in which the public can participate and they start in September. In case you're interested in the plans for these schools to be closed (as well as Captain Michael VandenBos, Jack Miner, Pringle Creek which are being reviewed for consolidation) Appendix B on the web site provided by Nan has some good information.
My DD is going to FM Heard so I'm glad to see something being started. I think it will still be a few years before any major changes.
Hi again,
I just received clarification from John Dolstra that there is no ARC process scheduled for Whitby Shores, which is good, because we already have a school! The process that Christine was talking about is for 6 other Central Whitby schools .
I apologize for the confusion.
I'm going to edit my original post just in case someone else only reads the first post and gets confused.
