In case you haven't heard about this from other various sources, the fourth round of public information centres (PICs) for the Highway 407 East Environmental Assessment (EA) is rapidly approaching.
Here's what's going to be covered, as posted on the EA web site:

- Changes to and additional property requirements
- Refinements to the technically recommended route
- Updated Existing Conditions information
- Interchange locations and configurations
- Local road realignments associated with the corridor
- Local road treatments (underpass, overpass, closed) associated with the corridor
- Location and approximate size of stormwater ponds, maintenance yards, and other infrastructure to support the highway corridor
- Location and approximate size of the transitway corridor / station locations and transit maintenance yards
- Right-of-way cross sections, including provisions for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes
- Location of potential mitigation measures (noise berms / walls, landscaping, etc)
- Community Value Plan (CVP) process
- Property acquisition process
Hopefully, we'll find out what the plan is for the Highway 401/Lake Ridge/West Durham Link area.
