It is hard to believe that by 11:55pm (not even an hour after being "planted") flags have already been taken off peoples front lawns... after the hard work of some proud Canadians, taking their time to plant flags in peoples lawns - so neighbours could wake up on Canada Day and smile.

So much for trying to spread a little patriotic spirit in WSG.

A great tradition... thanks to the flag planters... a great way to wake up and it looked great driving around WSG!!!

I was not the lucky recipient of a flag on my lawn but I have to tell you when my husband and I went for a walk on Canada Day my heart was warmed to see Whitby Shores lined with flags!  A great tradition!  Don't be discouraged perhaps we will do it on our street next year too to help spread your patriotic attitude!!  Great Job!
