A neighbour called the Town yesterday to find out about the hours that the machines/plows etc. work on the land behind the houses on WSG on the old psych lands and the town said " they aren't even supposed to be there right now"..... "nothing has been officially passed"

I am not sure, but are we the only people in the neighbourhood getting rather annoyed by the "beeping" and plowing and machinery noises???

I understand it will be constant like that once the plan "goes through" BUT if they "AREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE YET"- perhaps we can do something about that?

It would be great to be able to have a BBQ or sit in ones yard without the constant noise of machines and dirt being shuffled around - not to mention their hours - working at least 12 hour days...

Does anyone else have any information on this?

I am shocked they are working EVERY day... I was not impressed this morning - Saturday!!

And for those who work shift work etc. I cannot imagine how frustrating it would be to try and sleep through the noise. Our house shakes...they are just pushing dirt around...

Is there anything we can do to get it stopped? At least until the permit goes through?

Thanks for the information Jeff.... still... there has to be some break from this - it is crazy - considering nothing has been passed yet...I can see it happening once building starts etc... but how many months are they just going to dig holes and push around dirt until a real permit is passed? ( I wonder if the "siren/ringing" sound for backing up, although there for safety, could be shut off or turned down... as that would make this a little less annoying from sunrise to sunset?)

Has anyone considered they may be doing this so that nearby residents will call the town to complain, thus speeding up the approval process?

I guess that's why I can get things done ...
