Just thought this might be of interest to the auto racing fans here: Canadian Auto Sports Clubs - Ontario Region (CASC-OR) and its member clubs are trying to increase interest in regional motorsport by offering complimentary tickets to auto racing events this summer.

Most of the races are happening at Mosport International Raceway north of Bowmanville about 45 min from Whitby.  Directions are available at http://www.mosport.com.  Please note, though, that a couple of the races aren't at Mosport: the June 2-3 race is at Shannonville (near Belleville) and the July 28-29 race is at Calabogie (northwest of Ottawa).

Free tickets are available for the following races:

- May 11-12: Spring Trophy Races (British Empire Motor Club)
- June 2-3: Shootout at Shannonville (Canadian Race Drivers Association)  *not at Mosport*
- June 30-July 1: Grand Prix of Ontario (British Auto Racing Club)
- July 28-29: Ted Powell Memorial Race Weekend (Motorsport Club of Ottawa) *not at Mosport*
- August 11-12: Canadian Touring Trophy Races (British Auto Racing Club)
- September 1-2: President's Trophy Races (Canadian Race Drivers Association)
- September 15-16: Indian Summer Trophy Races (British Empire Motor Club)
- September 29-30: Celebration of Motorsport

You can get the tickets at http://www.casc.on.ca/comptkt/ - just fill in your info and the tickets will be emailed to you as a PDF.  If they don't show up right away, check your junk mail folder.  Just print off the tickets and bring them to the track.  You can find race schedules and details about the classes running at http://www.casc.on.ca before each race.

CASC-OR and the race organizing clubs are offering complimentary tickets to regional races again this year.

Same procedure as before: go to http://www.casc.on.ca/comptkt/ , put in your info, check your email and print off as many copies of the attached ticket as you need.

Hey JeffH are these races on the road course or the oval? Are you a racer?

They're all on the road course.

At Mosport I'm a marshal, but other places I'm a rally co-driver.
