Anyone got a number or web address for any local garden centers or soil companies that do the "soil in a bag" thing where they deliver the bag of soil to your driveway (easy, no mess). Any idea of price?

Durham topoil delivers and has some of the best prices that I have seen. However, they will not deliver the soil to you in a bags but in bulk.

They are on Lakeridge, check them out:

Yeah, I've used Durham Topsoil in the past for soil, gravel and river rock but I had about 13 cubic yards of stuff delivered so I didn't mind paying the delivery fee. This time around, I only need a couple of cubic yards which would normally cost about 50 bucks if you picked it up but costs 100 bucks to be delivered so not worth it. I did find a place that does what they call "soil in a sack" but the 1 cubic yard sack costs 125 bucks delivered to your driveway. Conveniant yes, cost effective no. It looks like the best option to buy smaller amounts of soil is to just do it by the bag from Home depot where each 20 or 30L bag costs about $2.50. Even if you bought 20 bags, it'd still be far cheaper in the long run ... just a pain to pick up, stuff into the car, bring home, unload.
