I was also hoping someone might have some info on both the route and times at the individual stops. Our son will be attending West Lynde for the first time. The school has not provided us with any info on the school bus schedule. We thought we would get this info at the school bus orientation that was held on Aug.18th, but they indicated the school needed to provide the schedule.
has anyone got this information?? as well have they posted the teachers/classes at the school yet??

School bus routes are handled by the Durham board and to get this you can call the Board office number (on their website). Its all automated, but if you need to speak with someone they are very helpful but get extremely busy the closer we get to school starting.
To use the automated system you'll need some basic information. Look on your child's report card at the top and you'll see their student number. You'll need this to access the automatic system by phone. It prompts you through then tells you (in a very funny electronic voice) the time of pick up and drop off and the location of the bus.
The note that came home was just telling you the new start time, nothing really to do with buses. Busing is now going to be the same bus for West Lynde and St. Margarite but at different times. St. Margarite being earlier.

School starts at 9am and ends at 3:30pm. As for the "automated system", I don't think my son has a student ID #, at least not that I know of. He is starting JK, so never had a report card to refer too.

I have ID#s for my kids, but I'm fairly certain that there was a "no ID# available" option on the system...whether that connects you to a person though, I don't know.

Transportation Automated Line
The automated telephone line is available. The number is 905-666-6979 or 1-866-908-6578. Information needed to access transportation information is the child`s OEN number (on the report card or provided by the school) and date of birth. YYYY,MM,DD. Parents/Guardians for the Durham Catholic District School Board will receive a letter informing them of this new system.
yup just called it this morning....just an fyi...the bus that left last year at Lighthouse and WSG is leaving at 830am and arriving after school at 355pm after school. West lynde also told me yesterday that class lists will be up at the school starting tomorrow. I believe also that school ends an hour early on Tuesday
FYI - Check your kids bus route. I checked mine with her student number and they decided to change her to two streets over across from the baseball diamond. She has been on the same route for years and they messed up. Told me she can't go on her regular route Tuesday because she is not registered to that bus and they won't let her on. It takes a few days (week) to straighten this out so I would check ahead of time.
