Whitby Shores Playgroups
Edited Aug 11/08 -We used to have a few playgroups running, but I don't know of any organized playgroups that are running right now. If you're interested in getting together with other moms, try contact the ones that posted here on the board looking for playgroups.
If you're organizing a playgroup, please let the moms on the board know. ParentSource.ca - Durham Region's Parent & Kid's Guide 2010 Durham Region Summer Camp & Activity Guide is here |

Right now there are two playgroups, one for babies, and one for parents with toddlers to preschool (and some baby siblings). Hi Nan! I am due Sept 5th, but I have started my mat leave. Any groups going on that I could join? |

RE: Whitby Shores Playgroups
Hi Zoe,
If you're interested in the baby group, we meet Mondays, either from 9:30 to 11:30 am, or 3-5 pm depending on the host's preference. Next week July 23 is at my place. Send me an email if you're interested in attending, or if you want more info. Thanks! Newborns.
Until they get to moving around, it's really more socializing for the moms. Gives everyone a chance to chat and have a coffee while baby sleeps/eats/sleeps/eats...

RE: Whitby Shores Playgroups
Maybe this would be a good thing for my almost 4 year old!
When does the one for older kids take place? |

Yes ... still active! We meet every Monday still from 9:30 to 11:30 and we take turns hosting it. The ages range from newborn to about 3. Pop me an email and I will have your name added to the email distribution list!

RE: Whitby Shores Playgroups
Are a dad and baby welcome? I'm a stay at home dad on parental leave until August with a 5 1/2 month old baby girl. We're two dads and a baby (no mommy) at home doing all the usual baby things. I ask because I'm not sure how all the mommies would feel with a daddy in their midst while they talk about breastfeeding, etc.

RE: Whitby Shores Playgroups
Is the baby group still going? I have a three week old and it would be great to connect with other new parents in the neighbourhood.
